Any handyman will tell you that using the right tool for the job can make all the difference in the world. Here you can find a current list of the tools I’m using for writing, blogging, speaking, and more. Perhaps you’ll find them as useful as I do!
Scrivener – this is the word processor I use to draft ideas for blog posts. I’m also using it to write my dissertation, and will be using it to write my next book. It’s very powerful, especially for multi-chapter works.
Evernote – seriously, one of the best apps I’ve ever seen. I’ve been using this for almost a year, and I cannot tell you how helpful and useful this is. Michael Hyatt has written extensively on this – you can see one of his posts here that I found very insightful.
CoSchedule – this is a fantastic app that helps not only schedule my blog posts, but also share older posts that new readers might not have seen.
Keynote – I’m now using this exclusively instead of PowerPoint. The flexibility is tremendous, and being a Mac user, not having Microsoft Office installed saves me quite a bit of disk space.
Accordance – this is the Bible software I use for research. It’s got quite a powerful map tool as well for maps and routes from antiquity.
